It seems like every day there’s a new article published discussing the problems with millennials. They’re selfish, need instant gratification, and broadcast their lives on social media. They grew up in the age of the Internet and that profoundly affected their values and expectations of the world. Of course, these are generalizations and every person is different, but there is truth to the fact that the world they’re growing up in is vastly different than when we were young. We didn’t have the distractions of smart phones, iPads, and fidget spinners. It’s harder than ever to fight for attention on the field, not to mention, millennials are motivated in completely different ways than generations before them.
How can you motivate your team of millennial Volleyball players and lead them to victory?
